Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cups (tea) of rice (previously washed and drained)
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 onion chopped
- 3 cups of boiling water
- 1/2 cup of chopped Brazil nuts (Castanha do Pará or another nuts that you prefer)
- 3 tablespoons chopped green scent (optional)
Procedure:
Step 1 – In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat.
Step 2 – Sauté the rice, add garlic and chopped onion. Sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 3 – Add the water and cook over medium heat, with the pan covered, for 15 minutes. You can also add a vegetable broth.
Step 4 – Cover the pan and set aside for 10 minutes. Mix half the Brazil nuts and half the green scent. Place on a platter; sprinkle the rest of Brazil nuts and green scent.
Step 5 – Serve immediately.
